The 47th Annual Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair is just around the corner. We’re looking for judges ready to make an IMPACT during the elementary, middle, and high school science fairs! As a judge, you’ll review presentations, interview participants, and interact with talented students who are exploring their passions in science and engineering. Judges can choose to volunteer in the morning, afternoon, or for the entire day.
This year the Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair will be held at the Gas South Convention Center on Thursday, February 27 from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is actively working to increase awareness among families and staff about the importance of literacy, supporting opportunities to strengthen students' reading skills, and emphasizing the science of reading.

The Gwinnett County Board of Education will hold three public hearings as part of its process for opting out of House Bill 581.
INTENT TO OPT OUT OF HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION
The Gwinnett County Board of Education intends to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption for the Gwinnett County School District. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this matter.
The first hearing was held on January 16 at 6 p.m. The second and third public hearings will take place on February 20 at 11:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. All of the public hearings are scheduled to take place in the Board Room at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, 437 Old Peachtree Road, NW, Suwanee, GA 30024.
