Baggett Elementary will be an extraordinary school where students excel in academics and behavior.
We will ensure that each student reaches his or her potential through continuous improvement as we partner with our parents and community.
SCHOOL HOURS: 8:15 AM - 2:45 PM
To our Baggett Community,
I realize these are very difficult times for not only our students but also for you, our parents and guardians. These are unprecedented times, and we will navigate this situation together. Our teachers are truly working to provide engaging lessons and to connect with our students. Nothing replaces direct instruction, but digital learning is the next best thing. I am proud of the hard work that our staff is doing from home to find innovative ways to connect with students. We know there are some families who do not have devices or access at this time. For those families, please encourage reading and writing every day. Even creating a journal where students can share their thoughts and feelings each day would be beneficial. I recognize that this is a time to focus on family. We will continue to communicate through our website and through our teachers, as they have a variety of ways to connect with parents (e.g. Class Dojo, email, etc.). Please know that we continue to keep you and your families in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
Gracias.Charlotte R. Sadler, Ed. D.PrincipalBaggett Elementary
Lunch/DLD Information: Updated April 4
Gwinnett County Public Schools will return to digital learning on Monday, April 6. As part of the school district’s support during Digital Learning Days, also beginning Monday student meals once again will be available for pick-up at the 68 designated school sites, or by delivery at school bus stops. On Tuesday, April 7, the meal service will expand to include both breakfast and lunch items distributed at the same time. The pick-up at school sites will take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. every school day. Gwinnett school buses will resume their delivery routes, making stops at regular bus stops between 11 a.m. and noon in designated clusters. It is important to remember that in order to receive a meal, the child must be present at the school site or at the bus stop when the bus arrives. These meals are available at no cost to anyone 18 years of age or younger, no matter which school a child attends.
Note: We recognize nothing replaces direct instruction, but Digital Instruction is the next best thing. We also realize there will be times when the internet is slow or down. When that happens, just try again later. Our teachers are truly working to provide engaging work through eCLASS and Google Classroom through this difficult time. If you do not have access to the internet, please encourage your child to read and write stories daily, as this will be beneficial. THANK YOU!
