  • GCPS' Portrait of a Graduate is a collective vision that articulates our community's aspirations for #EachandEvery student... and positions them for successful, satisfying lives.

The Portrait of a Graduate is the first step in framing a new vision for our school district and helped shape our district’s new strategic plan, Our Blueprint for the Future. Over the next few weeks, we'll explore the six core competencies that articulate our community’s aspirations for all GCPS students.

  • Friday, February 3, is a Digital Learning Day (DLD) for all students. On scheduled DLDs, students access lessons in eCLASS but do not have virtual class time with their teachers.

To ensure that students have a nutritious breakfast and lunch to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by School Nutrition Program staff.

Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families, and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under.

  • Complete a meal application by Wednesday, September 14, to continue meal benefits and ensure added support for your school!

Throughout the pandemic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has allowed school systems across the country to provide breakfast and lunch to all students at no charge to families. However, the USDA waivers expired during the summer, and students are required to pay for meals based on their individual eligibility.

In order to receive free or reduced-price meal benefits, families must complete the Free and Reduced-price Meal Application and meet eligibility requirements. Click here to learn more and find a link to the application:
