  • Mission

It is the mission of the Collins Hill High School Media Center to help empower students to become researchers, analyzers, questioners, critical thinkers, and problem-solvers, effective and ethical stewards of information, and above all, enthusiastic and unapologetic readers!

  • Hours of Operation

The Collins Hill Media Center is open from 6:45 am to 2:45 pm Monday through Friday.

You may come in for check out from 11:15-1:15 Monday-Thursday and 10-2 on Fridays

  • Resources Available

The Media Center houses about 14,000 books available for check out.

Students may check out up to 5 books at a time for 3 weeks. Students may renew as needed if the book in question has not been requested by another student.

Due to COVID concerns the desktop computers and other in-person resources outside of books are temporarily not available for use.

  • Policies

Students may visit the media center to check out Monday-Thursday from 11:15 am-1:15 pm and Fridays from 10 am -2 pm

In order to increase safety in the face of COVID, students will need to wear a mask and gloves (gloves will be provided but masks will not) when entering the space. Students will also need to practice social distancing.

Late fees have been suspended. Once a book is 31 days overdue the book will be marked as lost and a replacement fee will be added to the student's account.

Students can place holds on books through the media catalog via the student portal. We will send an email when the books are ready for pick up!
