  • FLL Challenge

    Club Description:

    In First Lego League (FLL) Challenge, the fourth and fifth grade students will apply science, engineering, and math concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to develop solutions to real-world challenges using SPIKE Prime. They also design, build, and program SPIKE Prime August 17 and end on December 14. FLL will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00– 4:15 p.m.

  • FLL Explore

    Description:

    In First Lego League (FLL) Explore, the second and third grade students will apply science, engineering, and math concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to develop solutions to real-world challenges using SPIKE Prime. They also design, build, and program SPIKE Prime Legos based robots to perform missions. FLL Explore is limited to 6 students. A selection committee will review the applications and determine the club members. This club will begin in September and run through December. FLL Explore will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00– 4:15 p.m.

  • FLL Discover

    Description:

    In First Lego League (FLL) Discover students are introduced to the finadmentals of STEM while working together to solve fun challenges and building models and robots using LEGO Education WeDo 2.0. FLL Discover is limited to 12 students. A selection committee will review the applications and determine the club members. This club will begin in February and run through the end of March. FLL Discover will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 3:15-4:00 p.m.

  • Sugar Hill Singers (Chorus/Orff Ensemble)

    Description:

    Chorus/Orff Ensemble is an extension of the music curriculum with an emphasis on vocal and instrumental performance skills. Students will perform at the November 16 International Festival. This club will meet on Tuesday mornings from 7-7:55 before school until late November.

  • Art Club

    Club Description:

    Student artists will come together to improve their skills, compare artwork, and participate in different group events. These members will explore various art techniques in a small group setting and use an assortment of mediums that they may or may not experience in regular art classes. The art club will meet Tuesday mornings from 7:00 - 7:55 am in January and February 2022.

  • Jr. Beta Club

    Club Description:

    This is an invitation only academic and leadership club. We will extend this year to allow members to volunteer/serve on our yearbook committee/club. Students had to have all As in their 4th grade subjects (Bs or higher in advanced content classes), good behavior, and leadership potential along with a recommendation from their teacher.

  • Longhorns Going Green

    Club Description:

    Students will learn ways that they can help the environment. They will get to participate in fun activities and even research ways we can help our school and community. This club will meet the third Thursday of each month from 7:00 –7:40 a.m.

  • Spanish Club

    Club Description:

    Students will learn basic Spanish vocabulary and expressions, as well as the festivities and traditional crafts that are common to some of the Hispanic countries. Studies show that children who learn a second language frequently present higher emotional intelligence, greater problem-solving skills and better academic achievement.

  • Readers Rally

    Club Description:

    Passionate readers will engage in reading 15 books. Students will then be quizzed on each book and eventually compete in a county wide competition that will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022
