    **New for Summer School 2022**

    GCPS will pay for up to two summer school classes for high school students needing to retake a class they previously failed. The district is offering this option to students at no cost to address COVID-related learning gaps and to provide students with an additional opportunity to earn credit for courses failed this year.

     

    Registration for summer school begins April 1.

    Dates:  June 13 - July 7 (holidays on June 20 and July 4)

    First Period:  7:00-11:00 am

    Second Period:  11:30 am - 3:30 pm

    Biology:  1st & 2nd Semesters

    Chemistry:  1st & 2nd Semesters

    9th Grade Language Arts:  1st & 2nd Semesters

    10th Grade Language Arts:  1st & 2nd Semesters

    Algebra I: 1st & 2nd Semesters

    Geometry: 1st & 2nd Semesters

    Algebra II: 1st & 2nd Semesters

    Spanish I: 1st & 2nd Semesters

    Physics: 1st & 2nd Semesters

    Summer School for Remediation

    Students qualify to take up to 2 summer school classes (1.0 credit total) for free if:

    1.  They have previously failed the course;

    2.  They have previously audited the course;

    3.  They are off-track for graduation, they need the course to graduate during the summer, or they need the course to be promoted to the next grade level and be on track with their graduation cohort.

    Summer School for Acceleration

    Students who are on-track for graduation and want to take a course or courses to get ahead or to free up their schedules to fit in additional electives may take up to 2 courses (1.0 credit total) for a cost of $250 per .5 credit course.  To register for accelerated summer school, please complete this form.  You will be contacted regarding payment.
