  • Special Education Parent Survey

As a means of improving results for children with disabilities, the Georgia Department of Education is required to survey parents of students receiving special education services. If you are the Parent/Guardian of a student receiving services in Gwinnett County, you are able to participate in this year's survey process.

This is an opportunity for your voice to be heard. The feedback you share will help guide local schools' efforts to improve Special Education services and results for children and families.
The survey is available on-line and can be accessed on the Georgia Department of Education website. You may enter the following direct link into your browser -

  • Routine COVID testing

Routine COVID testing is done at McKendree Elementary on Tuesdays from 11am-1pm and is available to our students.Routine COVID-19 testing (also called surveillance testing) can quickly detect individuals who are positive with COVID-19. Acting as an “early warning system,” the testing program will help lower the risk of transmission in schools so that in-person instruction can continue without interruption.

Participation in this program is voluntary. Families must opt into the program, which includes weekly testing for participating students and staff. The free testing is self-administered with a nasal swab and is quick and easy; testing is not painful or invasive.

GCPS’s voluntary COVID-19 testing program will expand to other clusters as staffing becomes available.

Click here for more information or to sign up to participate.
