SEA Update from GCPSNearly 27,000 GCPS students are registered for the district’s In-Person Summer Enrichment + Acceleration (SEA) Program (grades 1-8) and our Rising K Academy (kindergarten), which are set for June 14 to July 2!Due to the high levels of interest, GCPS has made adjustments in the middle school hours so we can provide transportation for all students in the program. Participated in this school year’s last student-centered Read to Lead: Live! webinar featuring author and political leader, Stacey Abrams.
On June 4th at 1:00 PM EST, we’re excited to share that Stacey Abrams will share her story and journey to becoming the most voted Democrat in the State of Georgia’s history when she ran for Governor, and authoring books that are on the New York Times bestseller list with students from all over the country.

Summer Food Resources and Assistance
Gwinnett County Public Schools: Information regarding meals during summer school and the K-8 Summer Enrichment and Acceleration program will be communicated with participating families. However, all GCPS families can take advantage of the curbside pickup service for children ages 18 and younger. The meals—both breakfast and lunch—will be provided at 27 middle schools from June 14 to July 2 between 11 a.m. to noon on weekdays. (All middle schools will participate except Five Forks MS and Jones MS, which are undergoing construction.)
Gwinnett County Community Services is offering free grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches at 25 locations. Curbside pick-up of nutritious meals is for 18 years or younger or those 19 years of age or older with a physical or mental impairment.
