  • Parent Center Purpose

    The purpose of the Parent Center is to introduce families to Gwinnett County Public Schools and the Seckinger school culture, with an emphasis on:

    • Communication
    • Registration
    • Interpretation/Translation
    • Orientation
    • Information/Education
    In our Parent Center, our Parent Liaison, Mrs. Jecenia Tejada will provide families with a welcoming experience during their registration process, providing orientation to resources available to GCPS families as well as assisting and/or coordinating any interpretation or translation needs. 
    During the school year, Seckinger High School will provide workshops and activities to empower parents with the necessary information, knowledge and skills to support their children's educations at home and in school.  Additionally, families will receive assistance with any school communication needs to ensure parents' concerns about their students' education and family well-being needs are met.  

  • About Me

    My name is Jecenia Tejada, and I am the new Parent Liaison for Seckinger High School. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University PUCMM, Santiago D.R. and a Master’s Degree in Business Management from Cambridge College, Boston MA.

    In 2015, I started working in this cluster as a substitute teacher.  I then became an instructional clerk at Ivy Creek Elementary.  Through this role,  I had the opportunity to service students in numerous ways, such as helping Dual-Language Immersion (DLI) classes with small groups, translating for parents and teachers, and assisting physical education classes with planning and instruction.  Next, I worked as a DLI Spanish teacher at Jones Middle School, and this year I am very excited to be in this role serving your families!
