Dear Archer High School Families and Community,
It is an honor and privilege to introduce myself as the new Principal of Archer High School. I am also excited and humbled to be able to transition into this position, and I hope, as we begin to work together, that you will learn that I am passionately committed to the education of each and every student. I do not take this incredible opportunity to lead outstanding students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community for granted. I feel fortunate to be a part of the Archer community and to serve this esteemed cluster.
For over twenty years in education, I have had the pleasure of developing a wealth of knowledge in raising the bar for student achievement, setting high expectations, and engaging in the school community, where I fostered long-lasting connections with students and families. Throughout my tenure in public education, I engaged my love for science as a high school teacher and department chair. I also developed my skill set as a servant leader while serving as assistant principal in both middle and high school.
Over the past few days, I have had the opportunity to visit Archer High School, and each day I have been amazed by the accomplishments of our extremely talented students. This has served as a strong reminder of the enormous responsibility that accompanies building upon the successful legacy at Archer. I look forward to the continued partnership with parents, caregivers, families, and the school community members that have contributed to Tiger Pride over the years.
My sincerest belief is that our Archer Tigers can thrive in a rigorous environment with the appropriate support structures in place. My goal is to ensure that each and every student is successful and receives the highest-quality education in an environment that supports their social and emotional well-being. I am so excited to be a part of the Archer Community, I am eager to serve, and thanks in advance for your support as we begin our journey of continued student success for years to come.
I look forward to engaging with you and serving you as your principal. I also look forward to meeting you all in the months to come.
Sincerely,
Dr. Conquisha Thompson
Principal
