• A Message From Our Principal

    Dear Northbrook community,

It’s my great pleasure and honor to introduce myself as your new principal. I’m so excited to lead and support our amazing students, teachers, and staff.

This school year marks my 22nd year in education. For 14 years, I taught World, U.S. History, and Government at James Madison High (Fairfax County, VA), North Gwinnett High, and Lanier High schools. In 2014, I transitioned to school leadership and joined the inaugural staff at Northbrook as an assistant principal helping support teachers and students. Those that already know me know how much I love our Northbrook family and what we’ve built together. Partnering with teachers and providing high-energy leadership are my passions as a leader.

With my wife, Elizabeth, I’m the proud parent of two sons, both of whom attend Gwinnett County schools. My oldest son will graduate from Peachtree Ridge High School this year and my youngest son will start as a ninth grader at Gwinnett’s new School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett High. As parents, we want our boys to be challenged, supported, and encouraged. We want them to see education as meaningful and that their teachers and administrators care about them. Because of this, I’m committed to being visible and accessible to our community. I want every Northbrook student and parent to feel heard, feel supported, and feel that we are doing the very best for our students.

As principal, my vision for Northbrook is for students to achieve at their fullest potential in a nurturing environment. I hope this vision sounds familiar as we are carrying on what we’ve built together since Northbrook opened in 2014. Our team remains committed to the instructional strategies and supports that make Northbrook such a special place. Our goal is for every student to be high school, college, and career ready and to have the problem solving, collaboration, and organizational skills necessary to achieve their goals. At Northbrook, we set lofty goals and push ourselves and our students to meet the Northbrook standard of excellence. We know that great schools make great communities. I can’t wait to start the school year and continue our work.

I am honored to serve as your very proud principal. If I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Welcome to Northbrook Middle School! Go Lions! One Ridge!
