Boys' Basketball (7th & 8th grade)-  Pinckneyville Middle School has a boys’ basketball team that plays other middle schools in Gwinnett County.

Mission:  The purpose of competitive basketball is to provide instruction in teamwork, fundamentals of basketball, and sportsmanship within the framework of vigorous competition.

Activities:  Activities will include pre-conditioning and team tryouts in October. The regular season begins in November and ends in February with a postseason tournament.

Mission: To create more technical and tactical players through competition

Activities: 2-3 practices weekly, 8-12 games per season, and a county tournament in March

Meeting Dates/Times: Boys practice on Mondays and Fridays at 7:30 am-8:50am.   Girls practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 am-8:50am. Both teams can come in on Wednesday mornings to practice on their own or attend an academic tutoring session.

• Cheerleading (7th and 8th grade)- The Pinckneyville Blue Devils Cheer Squad are the cheerleaders for girls’ and boys’ basketball teams. These students are members of the seventh and eighth-grade class. Tryouts are held in the spring of the school year before the Fall/Winter basketball season. The students cheer during the November-February basketball season.
