Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now open!

If your child is a new Kindergartner at Gwinnett County Public Schools for the 2023-24 school year (and will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023), you may complete the Online Registration. All of the documentation needed to register your child can be uploaded through Online Registration. Follow the steps below to complete the online registration process for your new Kindergartner.

Please Note:  After you have completed the 2 steps below, a staff member from our office will contact you to complete Kindergarten registration and schedule a time for you to bring your child in to complete a pre-Kindergarten assessment (KREP).

Follow one of the links below to create/use your Parent Portal account and start your online registration.

Your KG student is new to GCPS

Your KG student is not new to GCPS (You have a previously enrolled or currently enrolled GCPS student)

Free and Reduced Meals - If you have children currently receiving free or reduced-price meals in a Gwinnett County school, your kindergartner may be eligible for free or reduced-price meals for the first 30 days of school while your child’s application is processed. Please fill out the Kindergarten Sibling Form, listing the names of siblings currently receiving free or reduced-price meals.

Withdraw your student from their previous GCPS school by visiting the school and completing the withdrawal paperwork.

Bring the withdrawal form, proof of residency, and parent/legal guardian ID when you register at Freeman's Mill.

A parent/guardian must come to school and complete the withdrawal form before the student's last day. All textbooks, library books, and outstanding fees must be taken care of before the student is withdrawn.
