Cosmetology is my passion! I love the industry and am forever growing and learning. I received my Bachelor Degree in 2005 at Illinois State University and immediately went into the classroom. Next on my journey I ventured into Corporate America where I worked as an Auto Claim Representative at State Farm Insurance for 10 years. I always loved teaching and I never stopped doing hair and make up. In 2017 I had the pleasure of merging two careers I adored most, Cosmetology and Teaching. I now work for GCPS as a Cosmetology Teacher here at Maxwell High School and anticipate being here for a long time. I do it for the student's! I aspire to teach them everything I know of this industry, as well as how to be productive citizen's in society. I believe in encouraging people down a path they love and enjoy, that is my mission as a Cosmetology Teacher.
