  • Welcome Mrs. Strong!

    FMES is excited to welcome Mrs. Tameka Strong, Assistant Principal, to our FMES community. Mrs. Strong is beginning her fourth year as an AP in GCPS. She will be a wonderful addition to our team!

  • Changes to GCPS Meals for Students

    Due to the expiration of USDA waivers, the School Nutrition Program will now transition to pre-pandemic operations. Visit the GCPS Meal Price Information page on the GCPS website.

    The SY21-22 Free and Reduced eligibility status will carry over for the first 30 school days of SY23 (through 9/14). The online SY23 Free and Reduced application is now available - SY23 Free and Reduced Online Application.

  • Curriculum Night

    We hope you plan to attend Curriculum Night on Thursday, August 18. This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about the teaching and learning that will occur in your child’s classroom this year. An email with details regarding Curriculum Night will be sent to parents the week of Aug. 8. An in-person and Zoom meeting will be offered.

    We've teamed up with Papa John's Pizza for some delicious Spirit Day food delivered straight to your door! On Thursday, August 18, just call in or order online at the Buford Dr. or Winder Way locations. Use our code FREE20 and Papa John's will give 20% of your order BACK TO THE SCHOOL!   • Spiritwear Shirts & Masks

    FMES Spirit Wear is now for sale for the 2022-2023 school year!  We have 4 new shirt designs available! For your convenience, you can order online and your order will come home with your student! Look for long-sleeve and hoodie options in October/November!

  • Grade Level Shirts

    Have you purchased your child an FMES Grade Level T-shirt for $10? The final deadline to order is August 29th. Students will wear these t-shirts for Field Days, Field Trips, and other school events. If submitting order forms for multiple children, please submit a form for each student and please make sure to include that child's teacher's name. If you are ordering a shirt for an adult, you can include that order on either child's order form as long as the children are on separate order forms. You can make one payment to attach to the order forms. You can order on Memberhub.

  • Be A Freeman’s Mill Sponsor!

    The FMES PTA is looking for sponsors to provide a donation to support multiple activities this upcoming year to benefit the Freeman’s Mill students. For a $250 donation, we will provide the following benefits...

    1. Place your company logo on our grade-level shirts that each student will wear throughout the year at school and in the community. To receive your logo on the grade level t-shirts we must have your logo and donation by August 29, 2022.
    2. Provide you with a school shirt showing your support (Please indicate size).
    3. Your logo will be placed on the school website.
    4. Invited to participate in PTA sponsored school activities.
    5. Free booth at the annual Polar Express Night, which is a free event for the community at our school.
    6. Can send out flyers for your company twice a year.

    For a $300 donation, your company will get all of the above plus your logo will be shown on our digital sign on a rolling rotation during the 2022-2023 school year.

    We also want to partner with you to be more involved in our community events! We have several events that can be personally sponsored by your business or organization. Each event has minimum needs that we budget for each year. Bear Color Run, Father Daughter Dance, Mother Son Night, Reflections Program, PTA Meeting Nights, All Pro Dad Breakfast Events, Teacher Appreciation Events, Polar Express Night and STEM night are just a few.

    Don’t forget that Box Tops has moved to a “No More Clipping” program. That is right, they have created an app where you can simply scan your receipts and the money from the Box Tops will go directly to the school’s account.
