  • Holiday Fun At FMES

    Starting Nov. 29 and throughout December students are welcome to celebrate the season by participating in holiday-themed days. Below are the scheduled themed days.

    11/29 - Wear your favorite holiday hat, headband, or tree topper

    11/30 - Wear Red & Green

    12/2 - Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, hula skirt, sunglasses, etc

    12/3 - Wear your favorite flannel/plaid gear

    12/6 - Wear your favorite holiday accessories (jewelry, necklaces, garland, etc.)

    12/7 - Wear your favorite pair of holiday socks

    12/9 - Wear your favorite team jersey/shirt

    12/13 - Light up your wardrobe with lights, glitter, tinsel, light-up necklace, etc.

    12/14 - Wear your best holiday gear - fancy or funny

    12/15 - Wear your favorite holiday sweater - tacky or tasteful

    12/16 - Polar Express Day - Wear your favorite PJs

    12/17 - Wear your favorite festive attire

  • Holiday Shop

    PTA Holiday Shop will be open the week of November 29 – December 3. Gifts are priced for a child’s budget, ranging from $0.25 to $10.00, with most priced under $5.00. There are gifts available for ALL the members of your family. Click here to see the schedule for when your child’s class is shopping and look for the flyer/budget tracker coming home today! Also, we are in need of some parent “elves” to help the students spend their money. The times are M-F, 8:30-12:00, and 12:30-3:00. If interested, sign up here!

  • Glove and Hat Drive

    FMES Student Council is leading a glove and hat drive from November 29-December 15. Bring in gloves and hats (NEW items only please) to benefit patrons of a local charity, Village of Hope. Send in items all month long! Grade-level bins will be in the front lobby. The grade level that collects the most items will win A PRIZE!!

  • Sonic Spirit Night 

    Join us Thursday, December 2, for spirit night at Sonic in Dacula between 4:00-8:00 pm. 10% of ALL SALES will be donated to FMES. Don’t forget to ask your carhop for the clipboard to help your class win FREE milkshakes!

  • Holiday Chorus Performance

    We hope you plan to join us for the 4th grade Holiday Chorus Performance on Thursday, December 9 at 6:00 pm. This event will be held in the FMES Cafeteria. Masks are required.

  • Papa John's Spirit Day

    We've teamed up with Papa John's Pizza for some delicious Spirit Day food delivered straight to your door! On Thursday, December 9, just call in or order online at the Buford Dr. or Winder Way locations. Use our code FREE20 and Papa John's will give 20% of your order BACK TO THE SCHOOL! This code is Valid ALL day!

  • Student Council Candy Cane Sale

    Beginning Monday, December 13, Student Council will be selling candy canes. The candy canes are $0.50 each. Sales will continue through Friday, December 17, or until we run out of candy canes. If you would like to donate candy canes for the sale, please drop off at the front lobby desk. Students love all the variety of candy canes!

  • Polar Express Day

    Since we are unable to host our Polar Express Night this year, we will be having a Polar Express Day on Thursday, December 16. Students are welcome to wear their PJs to school! Students will also enjoy a special reading of the Polar Express by our very own conductor, Mr. Spivey!

  • Reinbear Run Day

    FMES Staff wanted to do something special for our students the day before Winter Break so we will host a Reinbear Run. Students will participate in the run during their Specials time. There is no cost for the event but we will be pre-selling Reinbear Run t-shirts for $10. Click here for the order form and to get more details about the event. The deadline for purchasing a t-shirt is Friday, Dec. 3. We cannot accept any orders placed after this date. All proceeds will go to PBIS to purchase items students can buy with the Bear Bucks they earn at school for making great choices and Respecting the Mill.

  • Culver's Spirit Night

    Join us Thursday, December 16, for FMES spirit night at Culver’s Mall of Georgia in Buford between the hours of 5:00 - 8:00 pm. 10% of all the proceeds from the night will be donated to FMES, so be sure to invite your friends. We look forward to seeing everyone at Culver’s on Buford Drive!

  • 2021-22 Yearbook Now Available

    Our yearbook is a hardcover, all-color book full of great pictures of school events. The price is $35.00 per book through Winter Break. The price will increase to $40.00 starting January 6, 2022. You may purchase your yearbook at MyPaymentsPlus. The deadline to order is February 1, 2022.

  • FMES Building Brains (B2) Anywhere Afterschool Program

    The B2 Anywhere Afterschool Program will be available onsite at FMES beginning at the end of the school day until 6:30 p.m. The cost of the program would be $60/week or $180/month. The program is CAPS (Childcare and Parent Services) eligible which means that childcare subsidies are available for eligible children in the State of Georgia.   • Be A Freeman’s Mill Sponsor!

    The FMES PTA is looking for sponsors to provide a donation to support multiple activities this upcoming year to benefit the Freeman’s Mill students. For a $250 donation, we will provide the following benefits...

    1. Provide you with a school shirt showing your support (Please indicate size).
    2. Your logo will be placed on the school website.
    3. Invited to participate in PTA-sponsored school activities.
    4. Free booth at the annual Polar Express Night, which is a free event for the community at our school.
    5. Can send out flyers for your company twice a year.

    For a $300 donation, your company will get all of the above plus your logo will be shown on our digital sign on a rolling rotation during the 2021-2022 school year.

    We also want to partner with you to be more involved in our community events! We have several events that can be personally sponsored by your business or organization. Each event has minimum needs that we budget for each year. Bear Color Run, Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Night, Reflections Program, PTA Meeting Nights, All Pro Dad Breakfast Events, Teacher Appreciation Events, Polar Express Night, and STEM night are just a few.
