  • AKS at Home!

    You are an important partner with your child’s teacher, whether your child is learning at home or at school. To help you support your child’s learning, GCPS is launching a new initiative called AKS at Home. With this project, families will learn ways to help their child practice skills they are learning in class as part of the district’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum.

    Join live Zoom sessions where teachers will show you how to help your child practice important skills and answer your questions. Here’s the schedule:

    ·    Language Arts – October 27, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
    ·    Mathematics – November 5, 10-11 a.m.

    1st Grade
    ·     Language Arts – October 29, 10-11 a.m.
    ·     Mathematics – November 4, 10-11 a.m.

    2nd Grade
    ·    Language Arts – October 30, 12-1 p.m.
    ·    Mathematics – November 2, 10 -11 a.m.

    3rd Grade
    ·    Language Arts – November 2, 12-1 p.m. 
    ·    Mathematics – October 30, 10-11 a.m. 

    4th Grade
    ·   Language Arts – November 4, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
    ·   Mathematics – October 29, 12-1 p.m.

    5th Grade
    ·   Language Arts – November 5, 12-1 p.m.
    ·   Mathematics – October 27, 12-1 p.m.

  • 2020 E-SPLOST Election

    On November 3, 2020, Gwinnett voters will be asked to consider continuing the E-SPLOST (education special purpose local option sales tax). Over the years, Gwinnett students and school communities have benefited from the E-SPLOST which has provided thousands of needed classrooms as well as technology improvements that are essential to teaching and learning. Visit to see the E-SPLOST items that will appear on the 2020 ballot.
