Boys Soccer Club is a soccer club for boys in grades 3-5. 

Club participants will develop and practice leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship skills while playing soccer.

Girls Soccer Club is a soccer club for girls in grades 3-5.

F.L.A.M.E. stands for Financial Literacy and Modern Economics and is open to students in grades 4 & 5. 

The purpose of the club is to help students learn about money and financial literacy in our modern economy and develop skills that will help them be successful in the real world.  This will be done through fun and interesting activities and projects.

Open to current 4th & 5th graders, Our Girls Are Pearls provides a leadership program for elementary-level girls to prepare themselves physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually for their transition from childhood to preteen.

Membership eligibility includes application and teacher recommendation. 

Through their attendance at monthly meetings, the girls will experience a series of sessions that promote learning who they are as individuals, working as a team, solving problems through conflict resolution, understanding the importance of giving back to the community, and more. 

Our Girls Are Pearls meets twice a month on Wednesdays from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM, and annual membership dues are $15.00.

Program Goal

Program Overview

In order for the girls to earn their string of pearls, they have to complete all 6 Pearl checkpoints throughout the school year:

Program Objectives

¨ To increase participants' knowledge and awareness of self and examine the role of mass media’s influences on teens.

¨ To reinforce and promote respect, accountability, choices, and excellence.

¨ To enhance participants’ awareness of their role in the development of their community and friendships.

¨ To inspire college and career-minded thinking.

¨ To direct participants’ interests and attitudes toward creative self-expression as a meaningful vehicle for personal development.

 

Scholars of Excellence is a club for boys in grades 4 & 5 which provides mentoring through sports and other activities to enhance social and academic development. 

The goal of the club is to help boys build self-confidence and discipline, and to develop into well-rounded young men.  Interested students should pick up and complete a club application from coach Vernet.

Student Council is an organization that allows students in grades 3-5 the opportunity to be school leaders as they learn about leadership and leadership positions. 

Students will organize and participate in school activities and service projects as well as contribute to school spirit and community welfare. If you are interested, pick up an application from Ms. Ore.

Yearbook Club provides students in grades 3-5 the opportunity to assist in yearbook marketing, photography, and design. 

Yearbook club teaches students real life skills in a creative and interesting format. Club participants will be divided into three groups: photographers, marketers and designers. 

The club will meet during the school day.  Students will need a recommendation from their teacher and/or approval to miss some Comet Time to meet and fulfill club duties.

Cheerleading Club is a club for students in grades 3-5 who want to learn about cheerleading. 

Club participants will develop teamwork, discipline and cooperation skills while having fun and learning basic cheers and moves. 

Meeting Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Meeting Time: Study Hall 3:20 - 3:45; Practice 3:45 -5:30 pm
