  • Jean Yu named Regeneron Scholar

    Jean Yu Formal PortraitThe Society for Science has announced that Jean Yu has been honored as a 2023 Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar! This is an incredible achievement and we are so proud of her hard work. Jean's project is titled The Role of Ribosomal rRNA Modifications in Ribosome Biogenesis.

    Jean is one of the top 300 Scholars in the 82nd Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS), the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and mathematics competition for high school seniors. A total of 1,949 students around the country entered the competition this year.

    The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has awarded Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) seniors 2022 National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities.
