  • Northbrook Principal Selection Survey

    May 24, 2021

As a valued member in your local school community, you can provide information and feedback that helps school leaders make important decisions that affect students and schools.  Therefore, Gwinnett County Public Schools would like to ask for your assistance in the crucial process of selecting a principal to replace Dr. Keith D. Thompson.  The Gwinnett County Board of Education and Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks would appreciate your response to a web-based Principal Selection Survey.  This survey will help school system leaders gather input regarding the selection of the new principal of Northbrook Middle School.

You may access the on-line survey at the following web address:

     http://www.gwinnett.k12.ga.us/pss/NorthbrookMS2021

The survey will be accessible beginning today.

Please complete the survey at your earliest convenience so that your input can be used in decision making.  Your time and response to this survey is most appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Monica Batiste
    Associate Superintendent
Division of Human Resources and Talent Management

Northbrook Drop Off Drive-Thru Event – Thursday, May 27, 2021
Northbrook will host a drive-thru event on Thursday May 27, 2021 from 9:00am-12:00pm in the bus lane in the front of the school. This drive-thru event is for parents and students who need to drop off Chromebooks, school laptops, hotspots, computer chargers, textbooks, library books, or any other school property. All devices checked out to students must be checked back in to the local school at the end of the 2020-21 school year so that our team can begin preparing the devices for summer learning activities and the coming school year. Yearbooks are available for pick-up as well.
Northbrook will host four stations (see map above). Please enter the bus lane and follow the traffic pattern to each of the four stations. Once you arrive at a station, remain in your car. If able, please write your student first and last name and grade level on a piece of paper and display it on the passenger side of your car’s windshield. If you do not need anything from a station, please stay in line and continue to the next station.

STATION 1 – ITEM DROP OFF: You may return a Chromebook, hotspot, library book, or any other school property items.
    • If your student has a school-owned Chromebook, laptop, hot spot, or other device, please plan to return the device.
    • When returning your device, please bring all components, including chargers and mice; have the device fully charged and powered on in order to expedite the return process.
    • Devices will be assessed for damage upon return and fines may be assigned based on the damage in order to cover the cost of replacement parts and repairs. Fines can be paid by credit or debit card, cash, or check at the time of the return. If a device is returned in good condition, no fine will be assigned. Device services will be turned off and fines for replacing the device will be assigned if a device is not returned.
    • If a student needs a device for summer learning, the school will work with you to provide a device.
STATION 2 – INSTRUMENT: You may drop off a Northbrook-owned instrument.
STATION 3 – YEARBOOKS: You may pick up your copy of the 2020-2021 Northbrook yearbook.
STATION 4 – MEDICATIONS: You may pick up your child’s clinic medications. Have proof of ID so we can verify our records.
