Hello, Patriots! I am excited to be serving as the 6th grade Counselor for Berkmar Middle School this year! I have seven years of experience as an elementary school counselor in Gwinnett County Public Schools.  I grew up in a military family and attended PK-12 schools in Germany, Colorado, Washington, California, and Texas. I had a very diverse childhood where I learned to embrace transitions and developed a love for learning about new cultures and trying new cuisine. 

I left my family and moved nearly 3,000 miles away to attend Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. My school counseling training was completed at Georgia State University. I recently earned my Education Specialist degree from Valdosta State University. Prior to becoming a Professional School Counselor, I was a Teacher and Researcher. 

I love sports, travel, my family, and my 13 year old fur baby, Micah Jaz. We are going to have an amazing school year navigating middle school together!
