General Information

  • The goal of the GCPS Community School program is to extend education and recreation to the community. The Community School is an extension of North Gwinnett High School and reaches out as a basic learning center to meet the various continuing education needs of our community. We strive to serve as a creative, quality community environment committed to developing and providing programs of academic and recreational enrichment for all members of our community.

We offer after-hours classes such as Driver Education, SAT Prep classes. We are always seeking input and suggestions for new Community School classes, so please let us know what you are interested in.

We also offer the community the ability to rent the facilities at the High School and our cluster schools (North Gwinnett Middle School, and Riverside, Level Creek, Suwanee, and Roberts Elementary Schools).

Please let us know how we can help you with your event!

Please contact the Community School for a GCPS Fee Schedule for Facility Rentals.

  • Community Health Presentation

The North Gwinnett Community School invites you to a free Community  Health Presentation at 6:30PM on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 in our theater.  Dr. Anthony Pothoulakis, M.D., F.A.C.C., is a general and preventive cardiologist and author from our community who wants to share his passion for healthy lifestyles. His most recent book, Arteries in Harmony, deals with the prevention of cardiometabolic diseases (heart attacks and strokes) as well as the obesity-diabetes-artery disease epidemic. Originally from Heraclion, Greece, Dr. Pouthoulakis is currently the director of General and Non-invasive Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology at Gwinnett Clinic.  We will have a presentation on preventing cardiovascular disease followed by a question and answer session with Dr. Pothoulakis.  We will serve light refreshments and copies of Arteries in Harmony will be available for purchase after the presentation.
