About Us

  • Chavonne O’Rear-  This is my 13th year as a school counselor, and my 17th year in education.  I have worked as a classroom teacher, but began my work as a school counselor because I saw so many kids that needed a little extra love and attention in my classroom.  I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Emory University. I have a Masters and an Ed.S. in School Counseling from Georgia State University. I am a Georgia Peach and love my hometown, though I wish we had beaches here!  I love traveling, trying new brunch places, and hosting events for my friends and family. I will be working with Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth grades. I look forward to a great year!

Anne Woodworth- This my 10th year as a school counselor in Gwinnett County Public Schools.  I graduated with my Bachelors from Emory University in Religion and African Studies. I have a Masters in School Counseling from Mercer University and an Ed.S. in School Counseling and Supervision from Valdosta State University.  Originally from South Carolina, I moved to the Atlanta area for college and loved it so much that I never left! When I’m not at Woodward Mill, I enjoy reading, trying new restaurants, being outside, and playing with my daughters. This year, I will be working with Kindergarten and 1st grade and am in the building Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  I can’t wait for another great year at WMES!
