    Here are some great presentations tools and other resources to use in place of writing a paper or creating a PowerPoint presentation. Many of these tools are free; some are not. 

    YouTube provides step-by-step, user friendly tutorials on just about all of these.

    Canva: Simple drag-and-drop design software to create flyers, posters, invitations, brochures, infographics, and more.
    EMaze: Great presentation tool for teachers and students - similar to Prezi
    Glogster: Create interactive digital posterboards and presentations. Free for up to 7 days, then must pay.
    iSpring: Convert PowerPoint to Flash presentations
    Movie Maker: Free software download for making custom videos, importing and editing slideshows and videos, and adding soundtracks to video content
    Padlet: An online virtual “bulletin” board, where students and teachers can collaborate, reflect, share links and pictures, in a secure location.
    Piktochart: Create easy, fun infographics to convey information visually
    Popplet: Create digital idea webs, collect materials related to a subject, or create a digital posterboard
    PowToon: Create animated videos and presentations

    Prezi: A fun alternative to PowerPoint that allows you to organize your information visually
    SlideShare: Upload and share presentations, documents, and videos
    Storybird: Storybird allows anyone to create visual storys in seconds. Must create a free account.
    Timeline:Create digital timelines that can include content from a variety of online resources including YouTube, Flikr, Google Maps, etc.
    Tagul: Create word clouds of tags or links to present ideas visually. Must create a free account.
    Tikatok: Allows students and teachers to create their own books and add their own words and illustrations
    Tinyurl: Create short, customizable, easy to remember web addresses in place of long, unwieldly addresses to easily direct students to a site and won't break in email postings

    Visme: Create stunning presentations, infographics and other visual content in minutes.
    Voki: Create a digital avatar to deliver your message in the classroom, on a blog, a website, or as part of a presentation
    WeVideo: Edit video collaboratively in the cloud, then share with others. Free with account. Good for smart phone capability.
    Wix: Website creator with a variety of templates and tools for a professional-looking site. advanced uses Artificial Intelligence to automatically create your site.
    Wordle: Create word clouds with a variety of color and formatting options to print, save, or share

    Mixbook:  Create custom photo books, scrapbooks, or cards. Must pay to print out.
    Photo Story 3: Downloadable software to create photo slideshows, edit photos, and add special effects. For Windows users.
    PicMonkey: Free trial period. Edit photos and create custom collages
    Pics4learning: Free copyright-friendly images for educational ​use.
    Piktochart: Create easy, fun infographics to convey information visually
    Tagul: Create word clouds of tags or links to present ideas visually
    Tagxedo: Word clouds created in a customizable shape (faces, countries, letters). Must download Silverlight (free).

    Moovly: Easy video creation for students, teachers or administrators. Great for classroom assignments, presentations, video journalism or school marketing!

    BrainRush: Teachers can use and create games to help students memorize facts.
    LimeSurvey: Free Open-source Software Survey tool.  Must download.
    Poll Everywhere: Create quick polls that collect responses via text, web, or Twitter
    Polldaddy: Create surveys, polls, and quizzes, then generate reports on the results. Must pay to promote polls.
    Survey Monkey: Create and distribute your own survey, then analyze the results
    Quizlet: Study site that allows students to create customized learning tools, games, and digital flashcards

    C-SPAN: C-SPAN's entire repository of videos about Congress, Politics, books, and American History
    Discovery Education: Lesson plans and resources for teachers sorted by grade level and subject. See media specialist for Mill Creek code to create a free account.
    HippoCampus: Find educational media by subject area (especially math and sciences), create your own playlist, and share with students  
    Khan Academy: Repository of video lessons, sorted by subject, on topics related to math, the sciences, the humanities, and test prep
    Show Me: Online video lessons organized by subject. You can also create your own videos.
    TED Talks: Videos of talks given at TED conferences on subjects ranging from education to particle physics, sortable by subject, length, or rating
    Watch Know Learn: Educational videos organized by subject and audience
    Nearpod: A classroom tool for teachers to engage students with interactive lessons.  Available through the portal access to Safari Montage.
    Pear Deck: Communication platform that lets teachers create interactive assessments and presentations with Google Slides that students can follow along on their devices.
