Admissions and Lottery Information
2020-2021 School Year
The lottery application process for the 2020-2021 school year opens November 1, 2019, at 8:00 a.m.
Below are the dates for the three Informational Meetings that provide information to students/parents interested in attending GSMST. All meetings begin at 7:00 PM in the Cafeteria at GSMST, and the information presented will be the same at all three meetings.
- Tuesday, November 12, 2019 – Archer Cluster, Brookwood Cluster, Dacula Cluster, Grayson Cluster, Mill Creek Cluster, Mountain View Cluster, Parkview Cluster, Shiloh Cluster, South Gwinnett Cluster
- Thursday, December 5, 2019 – Berkmar Cluster, Central Gwinnett Cluster, Collins Hill Cluster, Discovery Cluster, Duluth Cluster, Lanier Cluster, Meadowcreek Cluster, Norcross Cluster, North Gwinnett Cluster, Peachtree Ridge Cluster
- Thursday, January 9, 2020 – make-up meeting date for anyone unable to attend the first two meeting dates

GCPS Names National Merit Semifinalists
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has started its nationwide search for the students who will be named 2020 National Merit Scholars. As part of this first step, 72 Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) seniors have been named 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalists, including 21 students from GSMST! Congratulations to all our semifinalists.

The American Association of Teachers of German has designated The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology as a German Center of Excellence in the United States. Our program has been recognized for its accomplishments and the school has been awarded the title of German Center of Excellence. Since 1995, only one other school in Georgia has received this honor and we are the first school in Gwinnett County to be recognized with this accomplishment.

Orchestra Accolades
Congratulations to the following orchestra students on being accepted to the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra and Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, two of the most elite Atlanta area honor orchestras.
For E.Y.S.O.: Olivia C., Neha G., Nevin G., Roland M., Jonathan K., Gabriel L., and Gabby N-J.
And for A.S.Y.O.: Suann K., Brandon L., and Angela L. who was named as an alternate.
Congratulations are also in order for Sasha K, Paula P, and Abbygale S on being selected to the Gwinnett County Youth Symphony Honor Orchestra. They were selected from hundreds of other Gwinnett County students after auditioning this past Saturday. Way to go ladies!
