#GCPSStrong: Help us celebrate employees who have made a difference for students this year!
The 2020–21 school year has been a successful, yet challenging, year for our school community. However, our students, their families, and our faculty and staff have all worked together to show that together we are GCPSStrong.
Now, more than ever, your thanks, encouragement, and celebration of GCPS staff members is a meaningful way to show how much our community values public education and appreciates those who have helped our students through this challenging time.

Application: Families of Children with Special Needs Reimbursement
The Governor’s Office, the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget, and the Georgia Department of Education have worked in recent months to determine the best way to help those most severely impacted in a population of over 222,000 students with special needs throughout the state. Ten million dollars has been designated to assist these students with the highest needs for expenses incurred due to school closings during the pandemic.
Expenses that have been identified as eligible for reimbursement are those that are necessary to meet the challenges these students face regarding educational achievement, personal development, and emotional wellbeing. All information related to the application process is included in the link below. Completed applications are due by May 14, 2021.
Please note that parents are required to submit their child's GTID as a part of the application process. Parents may reach out to their local to schools to obtain this information.

The Gwinnett County Board of Education is moving forward in its search to identify the school district's next superintendent. An essential part of the search process is obtaining feedback from stakeholders, including families, students, staff, and others in the community. We invite you to participate in an online survey to share your thoughts on the qualities you would like to see in the next superintendent. The survey is open through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, and is available in English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese. Click here to take the Gwinnett Community Superintendent Search Survey.
