Where Excellence IS the Expectation
October 14-18 is Digital Citizenship Week!
Digital Citizenship is how you act online, whether it's using a computer or a hand-held device.
Some of the major aspects of digital citizenship for children are balancing time online with other "unplugged" activities, going to sites and apps that parents or teachers have approved, and being kind to others in online forums like games or chat rooms.
Some of the major aspects of digital citizenship for parents/guardians are modeling appropriate and moderated use of techology for your children to see, thinking before you post online, and knowing what sites or apps your children are using.

National Lights on Afterschool Event - 10/24
Students and their families are invited to celebrate at Walk Among the Stars! This fun, afterschool family night out will be held at Collins Hill Park on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Participants will travel to Neverland and take part in STEM activities, crafts, fitness games and connect with community partners to learn about their remarkable initiatives surrounding out-of-school time. See attached flyer for more information.
Attention All Car Riders!
We are seeing an increase in students arriving late to school. Our instructional day begins at 8:15 a.m., therefore the car rider doors will close at 8:15 a.m. Once the doors are closed, parents need to pull around to the front parking lot, walk in with students, and sign them in as tardy. Tardy students are at a disadvantage starting their day in a hurried manner. Wednesday mornings in the car rider line are particularly congested due to Couch Middle School holding an early morning help day. We are still offering the early drop off time in car riders, beginning at 7:35 a.m. in order to ease the long line. Please make every effort to arrive at school before 8:15 a.m. We thank you for your support.
