SAT
The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test. It tests knowledge of reading, writing, and math.
SAT for All
At the October 2022 Board of Education meeting, the board adopted a new Post-Secondary Readiness policy. This new policy aligns with the work called for in Our Blueprint for the Future, which challenges us that “Every child deserves an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills to succeed in college and careers.” To ensure equity in access to post-secondary options, we will begin implementing an SAT for All school day administration, which will be free of charge for 11th grade students in GCPS. Participation in the SAT helps students access resources for post-secondary options, including college admissions, as well as access to scholarship opportunities. This year’s administration is scheduled for March 22, 2023.
