  • PETITION PROCESS

    Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) accepts charter school petitions that encourage the use of performance-based educational programs for learning and assessment. The charter petition should focus on innovative and effective student learning opportunities which do not duplicate existing GCPS programs or exist in any GCPS school(s). The charter petition must meet provisions of Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (O.C.G.A.), state and local rules, regulations, policies, and procedures except for waivers that may be granted pursuant to State Board of Education Rule 160-4-9-.04(5)2(ii).

    Letter of Intent: Tuesday, December 1, 2022
    Petitioner Information Session:
    Thursday, January 26, 2023
    Application Submission Deadline to GCPS:
    Monday, March 20, 2023, by 2:00 p.m.
