Family and Community Engagement
Gwinnett County Public Schools believes that parents are a child's first and most important teachers. Our goal is to engage every family and community to achieve success for our all of our students. Each Title I school has a parent support contact to help promote your child's academic achievement. Your local school's Parent Centers are equipped with resources and materials for families to checkout to support parents as partners with their child's teacher. Your child's school has collaboratively developed an important document called The Plan/The Promise with your school community. The Plan outlines activities that will be held throughout the year to strengthen the partnership between you and school personnel.
Multiple activities and engagement opportunities are offered to engage families and support learning outside of school. The Promise shows how you, your child, and the school share the responsibility for working together to meet a schoolwide learning goal. Please check your school's website frequently to find ways that you can be engaged to support your child's academic success. We look forward to partnering with you for your child's success.
