THEATRE CONSERVATORY

Theatre Conservatory is designed to build the next generation of theatre makers by focusing on a well-rounded program of study that incorporates the following:
Acting and performance styles for theatre, musical theatre, and film
Theatre history, literature, and dramatic writing
Technical theatre (encompassing both design and construction techniques)
Theatre Conservatory students also take vocal and dance classes to enrich their performance skills and participate in masterclasses by industry professionals on a variety of specialized topics throughout the year. Theatre Conservatory students put the skills they learn in the classroom into practice by participating in the public performances that are part of the production season (4 to 8 different productions per year).
Scope & Sequence
9th Grade: Acting I, Technical Theatre I, Musical Theatre I, Fundamentals of Theatre, Vocal Ensemble
10th Grade: Acting II,Technical Theatre II, Musical Theatre II, Dance for Theatre I, Conservatory Chorus I
11th Grade: Acting III, Technical Theatre III, Musical Theatre III, Dance for Theatre II, Conservatory Chorus II, Advanced Drama, Theatre Literature
12th Grade: Acting IV, Musical Theatre IV, Technical Theatre IV, Dance for Theatre III, Conservatory Chorus III, Advanced Drama II, Dramatic Writing
