  • Grayson Tech Music Tech Album

    The students in the Music Technology program at the Grayson High School Technical Education Program have released their 2021 Spring Compilation album. Many student original works as well as permitted cover charts are included in this spring release.  All songs were written, produced, and recorded by the students!

  • Norcross High School Singing Group

    Norcross High School’s singing group "N'Harmonics'" submission wins "Outstanding Arrangement" at the Varsity Vocals International Championship of High School A Cappella 2021 Virtual Competition South Region Quarterfinal. Congratulations to the group and the arrangers: Brianna Thompson, Erick Nunez, and Hector Fitz-Hernandez on this accomplishment!

  • Georgia Music Educators Association Logo December 21, 2020 

     

    The Georgia Music Educators Association has selected the Featured Works for the 2021 GMEA Music Technology Student Showcase. This is an event that takes place at the annual in-service conference in January and features the music technology compositions of students from across the State of Georgia. This year 73 submissions were entered from across the state and GMEA selected 13 to be included in the event.

    Gwinnett County Public Schools is proud to announce that our Music Technology programs have nine of the 13 selected works included in this year’s showcase. The works, the composers (students), schools and their teachers are listed below. Congratulations to these students and programs!

  • Students selected to Music Technology Showcase

    January 15, 2020

    Art Team

    Two Brookwood students were selected from 71 statewide entries to participate in the 1st Annual Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Music Technology Student Showcase.  

    Their compositions will be presented at the Tweed Recording Studio and Academy in Athens, GA on January 24 as part of the GMEA Conference.

    Sebastian Roman-Soler (on the left) has two works chosen for the showcase. Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement (Remix) in the Derivative Work Category and Wobble in the Mixed Media Category. Isaac Baquerizo (on the right) will feature his composition Righteous Song in the Digital Composition Category.

    Their teacher Dr. Chris Costigan is pictured center and in the Music Technology Lab located at Brookwood High School
