  • What is ParentSquare?

    ParentSquare is a unified communications platform designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with GCPS. It provides a safe way for district staff, school administrators, teachers, staff, and parents to send and receive school and class information.

    ParentSquare provides: 

    • Smart Alerts: Get district and school-wide announcements at your fingertips!
    • Two-Way Communication: Send and receive real-time messages directly with teachers and administrators.
    • Translation: Send and receive messages and communications in your preferred language. 

  • Why should I create a ParentSquare account?

    Users who do not create a ParentSquare account will still be able to receive notifications via email, but ParentSquare options are limited. 

  • I can't sign in. What do I need to do?

    If you are unable to access your account, please reset your password from the app or the website. Scroll down for directions. 

    Resetting Your Password in the ParentSquare App

    1. Enter your email address on the login screen and select the Forgot Password? option that appears on the next screen.

    2. A verification code will be sent to your email address. Enter your verification code and select Verify.

    3. Enter a new password in both the New Password and Confirm Password fields. Select Change Password to submit your new password.

    Resetting Your Password on the ParentSquare Website

    1. Select the Forgot password? option within the Sign In box on the ParentSquare homepage.

    2. Enter your email address and select Go

    3. A message will then appear that an email has been sent with further instructions to reset your password.

    4. Within the email, select the Reset Password button.

    5. Enter a new password in both the Password and Password Confirmation fields. Then select Update Password

    If you do not receive an email to reset your password, please contact your school's front office to make sure your contact information is correct.  

  • What if my contact information has changed?

    Contact the school that your child attends and provide them with your updated information. They will update it in our student information system. 

  • How can I receive and send content in my preferred language?

    Your default language in ParentSquare is set to what you have indicated in the student information system. If you need to have this changed to another language, please contact your child's school. 

  • Where do I need to go to get support with ParentSquare?

    If you received our notification about ParentSquare and you have questions about confirming your account access, please send an email to PSQHelp@gcpsk12.org.

    Please include the email address that you received the notification and your name. We will make the necessary adjustment.
