I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College located in Lawrenceville, GA. I have been working with students for many years but have only been in the teaching profession for 1 year. I chose to become a teacher because I love kids, and I want to help students reach their highest potential. My favorite subject is math. My hobbies away from school are spending time with my own children and cooking. My favorite children's book is Pink and Say.

I have been an educator for the past eight years working in the special education field. I switched my career from being a full time graphic designer to becoming an educator 8 years ago simply because I enjoy propelling students to achieve their highest limit. There is no better reward and feeling than seeing your students succeed or achieve a goal they couldn't phantom achieving. I also enjoy the process of creating anything from art to food to homemade scrubs and lotions, so it's fair to say my favorite subject is art. Reading is definitely a favorite hobby of mine; I indulge in a variety of genres, my favorite being historical non-fiction. If I had to choose a favorite children's book I would say Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham because of the excitement and natural conversation it evokes in students every time it's read. This is my third year at Nesbit Elementary School, and I am beyond excited to meet the students and staff.

I am honored to have been able to serve students for the past ten years. I have enjoyed teaching in the Meadowcreek cluster these last two years. I believe that every child can & will learn! I still get excited with my students when we see progress toward their goals. As much as I enjoy teaching, I also enjoy learning. I believe that teaching and learning is a continuous cycle that must be on going for every individual throughout their life. My favorite subject is reading, and my favorite book is, Oh, the Places You’ll Go, by: Dr. Suess.

A little about me: I am originally from Arizona. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, reading books, and cooking. I also find comfort in watching movies (Star Wars, Star Trek, any Avengers movie, & Lord of the Rings), as well as gardening & planting.

I have taught four full years at Nesbit Elementary. I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember but decided on Special Education after many long talks with my Aunt who retired as a Special Education teacher. I love to be able to watch students succeed and reach their fullest potential! Reading is my favorite subject and also my favorite hobby.
