Ellyce Cone, Principal
2018-2019 is the beginning of my 27th year in education. I graduated from Texas Tech University in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies. My first teaching job was in Galveston, Texas where I taught kindergarten and first grade. I moved to Georgia in 1997 and began teaching fourth and fifth grade at Dacula Elementary. I taught at Dacula for eleven years. In 2006 I graduated from The University of Georgia with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I joined the staff of Margaret Winn Holt Elementary in 2008 as an assistant principal before being named principal in 2014.
I’ve been married to my husband, Michael, for 20 years. Michael is a third grade teacher at Mulberry Elementary. We have a son, Garret, who is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University, a daughter, Emaleigh, who is a sophomore at Dacula High School, and a daughter, Victoria, who is in the eighth grade at Dacula Middle School.
In my free time, I love to read, go camping with my family, take longs walks, and spend time with my children. I have been a Black Knight for 11 years and am proud to be a part of this community of learners.
