  • Transportation Information for 21-22

    Parents should have received the following email last week about transportation information needed for the 2021-2022 school year. This is only for K-4th.

    To prepare for your child’s transportation needs for the 2021-2022 school year, please complete the transportation form linked below. Every student returning to Starling Elementary School next year will need a completed transportation form for the 21-22 school year. This form should only be filled out ONCE per student. There is a “submit” button on page 2 of the document. If the button does not seem to work, please email the completed form to Please call the front office at 678*344*6100 with any questions and submit the GCPS Transportation form by May 14, 2021.

  • Teacher Appreciation Week Activities for May 3rd-7th

    Monday - in person students can bring in a flower, digital students can send e-flowers.
    Tuesday - in person students can write a note/make a card, digital students can record a message/video.
    Wednesday - everyone can wear their teacher’s favorite color.
    Thursday - in person students can bring in a school supply item for their teacher, digital students can drop off school supplies in the front bin.
    Friday - in person students can bring a gift card, digital students can send an e-gift card.

    Upcoming kindergarten families, mark your calendars for Kindergarten Academy! Kindergarten Academy is an introduction to school for our 2021-2022 registered kindergarten students. The dates will be June 14th-July 2nd, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.. Click here to sign up for Kindergarten Academy.   • Device Return Information

    All devices checked out to students must be checked back in to the local school at the end of the 2020-21 school year. If your student has a school-owned Chromebook, laptop, hot spot, or other device, please plan to return the device on the designated date and time listed below.

    When returning your device, please bring all components, including chargers and mice; have the device fully charged and powered on in order to expedite the return process.

    Devices will be assessed for damage upon return and fines may be assigned based on the damage in order to cover the cost of replacement parts and repairs. Fines can be paid by credit or debit card, cash, or check at the time of the return. If a device is returned in good condition, no fine will be assigned. Device services will be turned off and fines for replacing the device will be assigned if a device is not returned.

    If a student needs a device for summer learning, the school will communicate a plan for device checkout at a later date.

    -Wednesday, May 26th, 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. - 5th graders ONLY (younger sibling devices may be returned with 5th grade devices)
    -Thursday, May 27th and Friday, May 28th, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. - all remaining student devices
