Dr. Tarece Johnson-Morgan joined the Gwinnett County Board of Education in January 2021. Her electoral district includes all or portions of the Berkmar, Discovery, Duluth, Meadowcreek, Norcross, and Peachtree Ridge clusters, as well as Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology and Maxwell High School of Technology. Dr. Johnson-Morgan is an educational leader, public servant, entrepreneur, and learning facilitator with more than 25 years of experience advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, dignity, belonging, and liberation. She is an advocate, author, artist, and lifelong champion for multicultural and multilingual education, mental wellness, and global learning. Dr. Johnson-Morgan earned a BA from La Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico, an MPA from Columbia University, an MBA from Emory University, and an EdD in Educational Leadership from Capella University. She is multilingual and speaks English, Spanish, and some French.
