Ms. Rachel Ruffin Stone joined the Gwinnett County Board of Education in January 2025. Her electoral district includes all or portions of the Archer, Brookwood, Central Gwinnett, Dacula, Discovery, Grayson, Mill Creek, Mountain View, Shiloh, and South Gwinnett clusters, in addition to Oakland Meadow School. She has served in public education as a GCPS special education teacher, an instructional leader, and a government affairs professional. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History Education from Toccoa Falls College; a law degree from Emory University specializing in child, family, and education law; and has completed the Tier 1 Education Leadership Program at the University of Georgia. Her current term runs through December 2028.
