Accelerate Academic Achievement

 

Goal: Because teaching and learning with an emphasis on learning is the core of our work, we must continue to strengthen the coherence of our instructional program to ensure that our teachers and schools have what they need to prioritize high-quality teaching and learning practices, professional development, supports, and interventions.

Action Items

2.1  Assess the effectiveness of school support plans for schools receiving support during the 2024-25 school year

2.2  Identify schools in need of support for 2025-26 and begin developing plans to provide support

2.3  Continue participation in structured school visits to observe and support school improvement efforts

2.4  Evaluate early learning programs, make short- and long-term recommendations for enhancement

2.5  Assess the district’s literacy plan and focus areas and make short and long-term recommendations

2.6  Review and assess curricular resources across all content areas and subjects

2.7  Assess support systems for specialized student groups (ML, Gifted, SPED), and develop short- and long-term recommendations

2.8  Assess current professional development efforts to support administrative, instructional, and non- instructional staff and how the budget emphasizes an investment in staff development

2.9  Improve data analysis practices to drive student achievement and provide timely and relevant information internally and externally

2.10  Identify and address areas of academic underperformance by identifying root causes and implementing targeted strategies
