E-SPLOST Accountability
State law (O.C.G.A. 20-2-491) requires public school systems to obtain continuing (annual) performance audits or performance reviews for E-SPLOST program expenditures. To fulfill the audit requirement, the district has contracted to have an annual audit and review of program expenditures. The reports below serve as the final communication of the results of the audit.
In addition, as required by law (O.C.G.A. 48-8-122), the district is required to publish in a local newspaper and on the website a simple non-technical report which shows for each purpose in the referendum the following information: original estimated cost, current estimated cost, amounts expended in prior fiscal years, and amounts expended in the most recently completed fiscal year.

Monitoring Growth and Development
Gwinnett County Public Schools' Planning Department closely monitors proposed and active residential development throughout the county.
GCPS has requested that the county and each municipality within Gwinnett County provide the school system information on upcoming zoning requests. This aids the school system in its planning efforts and helps to ensure that the Gwinnett County Commission, the Gwinnett County Planning Commission, and the many local city governments in the county-- the entities that make decisions regarding rezoning requests-- have information on Gwinnett County schools and how zoning requests affect school populations.
To ensure that the governmental bodies who make zoning decisions have timely, appropriate information, monthly reports are provided to the Gwinnett County Planning Department, the Gwinnett County Planning Commission, and the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. This information provides details on the impact of proposed developments on the schools in the area. The report includes the current enrollment of the affected schools, projected future enrollment, capacity of schools, and how the specific rezoning requests will affect area schools.
For each month listed below, you will find an abridged version of the report that highlights the proposed rezoning case number, the schools in the area, and the number of students the proposed development is projected to produce.
