The GCPS Capital Plan 2022–2027 serves as the district’s official roadmap for the construction of additional classroom space, renovation and renewal of school facilities, safety systems, and instructional technology over a five-year period. Funded through the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST), the plan focuses on essential renewals like HVAC and roofing alongside major investments in school security and digital learning tools. By prioritizing these capital needs, the district ensures that every student has access to a modern, safe, and world-class educational environment. Gwinnett County voters approved the renewal of E-SPLOST to fund the district's current capital plan in November 2020, with an approval rate of 76.6%.
