Differentiated Professional Learning

We offer tailored professional learning experiences based on content area, grade level, and department. This ensures that every employee receives relevant, impactful training that aligns with their role and responsibilities.

School-Based Onboarding

Every school in GCPS hosts a formalized onboarding day during the summer, providing site-specific orientation and team-building opportunities. This localized approach helps new staff integrate into their school community from day one.

Weekly District Onboarding

Following the July kickoff, new employees are welcomed each Monday at the district office. These sessions cover essential topics such as benefits, certification, fingerprinting, and other onboarding logistics to ensure a smooth transition into the district.

Mentor Gwinnett: Certified Induction Support

GCPS proudly supports Mentor Gwinnett, a state-certified induction program optimized to train and support mentors for new teachers. Participants receive specialized training to guide and nurture new educators throughout the school year, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
