About the Division

Did you know Gwinnett County Public Schools is one of only four school districts in Georgia with a AAA rating from both Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s?

Update 2024: Moody’s Investors Services has issued an updated credit opinion regarding the financial health and wellness of GCPS. This report comes after the publication of our annual financial audit report ending June 30, 2023. Based on the most recent credit profile, Moody’s determined that GCPS’ Triple A Bond rating will continue to be supported by steady enrollment gains, strong revenue growth, and prudent financial management. GCPS’s continued financial health is definitely something to celebrate.

District Budget

GCPS refers to each year's budget as an "Investment Plan" for its students, employees, and the community as a whole. The conservative approach to budgeting has enabled the district to achieve balanced budgets each year while also delivering on the promises GCPS has made to its stakeholders.
