Update 2025: Moody’s Investors Services and Standard & Poor's have issued updated credit opinions regarding the financial health and wellness of GCPS. These reports come after the publication of our annual financial audit report ending June 30, 2024. Based on the most recent credit profile, our ratings continue to be supported by steady enrollment, healthy reserve levels, and prudent financial management.

District Budget 

GCPS refers to each year's budget as an "Investment Plan" for its students, employees, and the community as a whole. Our conservative approach to budgeting has enabled the district to achieve balanced budgets each year while delivering on the promise of providing an excellent public school system to the Gwinnett County community.

Financial Reports

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS)  prepares an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) to provide a transparent, detailed account of the district’s financial position and fiscal stewardship. This report reflects GCPS’s commitment to strong internal controls, sound financial management, and accountability to our students, employees, and community. Results of the annual external audits of each fiscal year’s ACFR are included within the links below.

For over 30 years, the district has been honored with the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting presented by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), recognizing the high quality and integrity of our financial statements.

Additionally, GCPS is required to provide transparent financial accountability on how E-SPLOST funds are spent.  The external audits of E-SPLOST are also published annually and are available below.
