Please read the following information about contributing to the conversations on the district's Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram accounts.
Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) uses social media to share information about district programs, services, projects, news, events, celebrations, honors, and activities. We value connecting with our community and enjoy highlighting the great work of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community partners.
Community comments reflect the opinion of the individual author and do not represent the views of GCPS, its employees, or the Board of Education. GCPS is not responsible for the accuracy of comments posted by others, or the security of websites not managed by the district.
District and school social media accounts are intended for civil, constructive engagement. Participants are asked to be polite and respectful. Employees or students who post in violation of Board policies, student conduct code, or district guidelines may face disciplinary action.
All district and school social media pages are also subject to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Community Standards of each platform. Enforcement may vary depending on the platform’s purpose and user base. For the most current information, please visit the platform’s official site.

To maintain a respectful space, GCPS asks all followers to follow Instagram and Meta’s policies and refrain from:
- Impersonating others or providing inaccurate information.
- Misrepresenting your identity or creating fake accounts.
- Posting anything unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent, or for an illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Posting spam or unauthorized commercial solicitations.
- Bullying, intimidating, or harassing others.
- Sharing content (including photos or links) that exposes private information, is threatening, pornographic, or includes nudity or gratuitous violence.
- Posting harmful or malicious links.
- Engaging in unlawful, misleading, or discriminatory activity.

Gwinnett County Public Schools welcomes our community to the district’s official Facebook page. Facebook is owned and operated by Meta. This information has been updated in accordance with Meta’s Terms of Service (formerly the Statement of Rights and Responsibilities), effective 2025.
As with all GCPS social media accounts, Facebook is used to provide updates on district programs, services, projects, news, events, celebrations, and honors. We are glad to connect with you and share positive stories from across our schools.
Comments made by community members are their own and do not represent GCPS, its employees, or the Board of Education.

GCPS does not restrict comments based upon viewpoint, but in addition to Meta’s Terms of Service, GCPS restricts the following from its Facebook Page:
- Posting spam or unauthorized commercial solicitations.
- Misrepresenting your identity or creating fake accounts.
- Sharing content (including photos or links) that exposes private information, protected student record information, is threatening, pornographic, or includes nudity or gratuitous violence.
- Profanity (as defined and regulated by Meta’s Terms of Service, Community Standards, and Enforcement).
- Posting harmful or malicious links.
- Engaging in unlawful activity.
- Posting content that includes unlawful discrimination

The GCPS LinkedIn account is managed by the Office of Human Resources. The GCPS LinkedIn account, its administrators, and followers are subject to LinkedIn’s User Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Professional Community Policies.
To maintain a respectful space, GCPS asks all followers to follow the “Dos and Don’ts” of LinkedIn’s User Agreement and Professional Community Policies and refrain from:
- Posting abusive, hateful, derogatory, or harassing content.
- Posting content that threatens, incites, or promotes violence.
- Posting harmful or shocking material.
- Engaging in innuendos or unwanted advances.
- Sharing content promoting dangerous organizations or individuals.
- Sharing material depicting the exploitation of children.
- Promoting, selling, or attempting to purchase illegal or dangerous goods or services.
- Creating a fake profile or falsifying information.
- Attempting to scam, defraud, or deceive others.
We encourage positive and supportive participation.

The GCPS X (formerly Twitter) account, its administrators, and followers are subject to the X Terms of Service, Rules and Policies, Privacy Policy, and state and country-specific applicable laws.
To maintain a respectful space, GCPS asks all followers to follow the X Terms of Service and refrain from:
- Copyright or trademark violations.
- Violent or hateful speech.
- Intellectual property misappropriation.
- Impersonation.
- Unlawful conduct.
- Harassment and abuse of other users.
- Posting spam or scams.
- Platform manipulation.
- Cybercrimes such as posting violent, exploitative, or non-consensual content.
