The Department of Environmental, Print, and Supply Services supports teaching and learning by promoting a clean, healthy learning environment, producing quality documents, and providing logistical services. This department provides training, resources, inspection, and operational support for school-based custodial staff, who are supervised by their local school administration. Department functions include custodial training; equipment repair; pest management; distribution of instructional resources, secured assessments, records, property and supply items; inventory management; solid waste, hazardous waste, and surplus asset disposal; printing and binding.                        

Service Facts:

  • Supports all GCPS schools and facilities districtwide

  • Provides oversight to the district's custodial function, providing training and support for local school custodial teams

  • Manages the GCPS Custodial Training Academy, a hands-on best-in-class training curriculum provided to and required of all custodians

  • Maintains and repairs 5,800+ pieces of custodial equipment

  • Produces approximately 32 million 8.5” × 11” print impressions annually — about one printed page per student per school day

  • Coordinates on-time delivery and inventory management for instructional and operational needs

  • Provides environmental, print, supply and logistics services across the district

  • Supports construction projects, surplus management, and moving services
