Business & Resource Management

The Office of Business & Resource Management supports Gwinnett County Public Schools by coordinating the financial, contractual, and operational functions that ensure effective delivery of technology services across the district.

The office manages the lifecycle of the IT budget—from planning and procurement to monitoring and reporting—aligning resources with instructional and operational priorities. Responsibilities include oversight of technology purchasing, vendor contracts, and compliance to promote responsible spending and maximize value. Procurement processes are conducted with a strong focus on transparency and fairness, including the development of competitive solicitations and bid specifications in accordance with district policies and regulatory guidelines.

Additional areas of focus include software and hardware asset management, following established district policies and best practices. The office also maintains the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), which provides accurate, real-time visibility into IT assets and their relationships to support informed decision-making and service improvement.

With an emphasis on transparency, accountability, and collaboration, the Office of Business & Resource Management helps ensure that technology resources are managed efficiently and equitably to support the needs of all schools and departments.
