Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) supports students in pursuit of taking “center stage” in their academic journey. Starting in elementary school, we ensure that all students are exposed to fine arts through Music and Visual Arts. In the Norcross Cluster, middle schools offer a full slate of courses that feed into the high school. Norcross students in grades 6-12 can explore the areas of Music Technology, Sound Recording, Theatre, Dance, Band, Orchestra, Chorus, and Visual and Media Arts. In 2023, 100% of students enrolled in the Fine Arts pathway at Norcross High School successfully completed the pathway. According to state data, high school students who completed the Fine Arts pathway had a graduation rate of 98.1%. Along with developing their personal interests, students also build critical thinking skills, teamwork and engagement, and personal responsibility.
