2021-22 Applications


    • The application deadline for returning members has been extended to Wednesday, October 13, at midnight.

    • Applications are being verified and confirmation emails will begin going out this Friday, October 8.

    • The mandatory meeting has been changed to Tuesday, October 12, at 2:15 PM in The Commons. All applicants should plan to attend this meeting even if they have not received a confirmation email.

    The BHS Beta Club has reopened its 2021-22 membership application period for both new members and returning members for one week ONLY. (A new member is someone who has never been inducted into Beta Club at the high school level.  Returning members have been inducted here at Brookwood High School or another high school.)  To be eligible to apply, a student must have a 90.0 GPA or higher (cannot be rounded up); is in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade; and has a clean discipline record.  Every member MUST pay dues through MyPaymentsPlus.com. (NOTE: If for some reason an applicant is not accepted, dues will be fully refunded.)
    • The deadline to pay dues and apply for membership is Wednesday, October 13, by midnight.


    • All applicants who are accepted will receive an email. 
    • All will be expected to attend the Fall Meeting on Tuesday, October 12, at 2:15 PM in the Commons.  This is the only mandatory meeting for 1st semester.

About BETA Club

  • National Beta Club The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. It was founded in 1934 by Dr. John W. Harris in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The organization's mission is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students. The Brookwood chapter of the Beta Club was established in November 1981.

    The Brookwood Beta club is dedicated to actively serving those in our community -- both locally and beyond. Brookwood's Beta Club is open to members in grades 10 - 12. Eligible members must have a 90.0 cumulative GPA and a clean discipline record. 

    NOTE: Freshmen will be able to apply for membership in the Brookwood High School Beta Club at the beginning of 2nd Semester based on their 1st Semester Cumulative GPAs. Eligible Freshmen must have a cumulative GPA of 90.0 or higher and a clean discipline record. Invitations will be mailed to all eligible Freshmen in January.


  • Due to the large size of the BHS Beta Club, each sponsor oversees different club activities during the course of the year.  When possible, please direct emails regarding specific activities or events to the sponsor in charge.
