Anime Club
Description
Anime Club is a place for any student who enjoys anime, manga, drawing, games, etc. We are a super-friendly group who enjoy experiencing and learning about Japanese culture. Everyone is welcome, whether they know anything about anime or not. Attendance isn't mandatory - come when you can, or when something interests you.

Forensic Speech & Debate Club
Description
This club will serve to teach the students the art of argumentation and breaking down language using critical thinking and analysis.
Through practice of both speech (whole group, small group, and individual) and speech writing, students will learn to master various techniques in communication, both verbal and physical (e.g. body language).
During meetings, students will engage in and gain knowledge of:

Gardening & Environmental Club
Description
We spend time with the students caring for the garden and planters/flowers around the building. We plant flowers and vegetables when/where appropriate then continue to care for them by watering and weeding. We also sometimes incorporate environmental lessons/activities.

Girl Talk
Description
Girl Tak is a safe space to resolve conflict, ask for help, and make friendships. Girl Talk is designed to include teenage girls who don't currently belong to a sport or club, without requiring money or a special talent. Your donation will go towards funding this club so that no one is left out due to financial instability.

Description
National Junior Beta is an honor society for 8th graders only. In Junior Beta, students will learn to promote the ideals of achievement, leadership, character, and service. Students interested will be selected based on 7th grade yearlong grades, and a review of discipline records.

NJAHS (National Junior Art Honor Society)
Description

Readers Rally
Description
The Gwinnett Readers Rally is a quiz bowl style competition for students in grades 4–12.
Students read 10 books specifically selected by the Readers Rally committee. We meet to discuss and analyze these books. Students generate practice questions along the way. Quiz-bowl style competition with other GCPS middle schools in February.

Technology Student Association
Description
TSA is a national organization that provides students with opportunities to learn about technology and engineering. The club will focus on competition training and team-building in preparation for next year's competitions.
Some of the activities that the club will offer include:

Some of the competitions that TSA offers include:

Tech Bowl: This competition tests students' knowledge of TSA and concepts addressed in technology content standards. Students complete a written, objective test and may also participate in a head-to-head, team competition.

Digital Video Production: This competition challenges students to create a short video that demonstrates their skills in videography, editing, and storytelling. Students must choose a topic that is relevant to technology and engineering, and their videos must be no longer than 5 minutes long.

Junior Solar Sprint: This competition challenges students to design and build a solar-powered model car that can race a course. Students must use their knowledge of engineering and programming to create a vehicle that can follow a set of instructions without human intervention.

Cybersecurity: This competition challenges students to identify and defend against cybersecurity threats. Students must use their knowledge of computer science and networking to solve a series of challenges.

The WIldcat Chef Cooking Club
Description
We will explore elements of culinary delights, ranging from various cultures and cooking styles, all while learning basic kitchen safety procedures and tools. Each month, we will meet to create some sort of dish together, sometimes with the help of guest chefs from our school and community. At the end of each meeting, the Cat Chefs will expand our palates by trying the food we've created, as well as various ingredients/items from that month's themed dish. Following our first month's meeting, which will be open to all interested students, those who desire to join the Cat Chefs will be required to pay a small club fee to cover the cost of materials/food.

Volleyball Club
Description
Each session, we start with a few practice activities to build fundamentals, then afterwards we finish playing volleyball games. The pick-up games are just for fun and all students are welcome to come!
Dress Code: Dress comfortably! Tennis shoes or sneakers are required. We recommend wearing shorts, leggings, t-shirts, etc.. anything you don’t mind breaking a sweat in!

Wildcat Swim Club
Description
Wildcat Swim Club will include 6th-8th grade swimmers from Duluth and Coleman Middle Schools who plan to swim at Duluth High School. In order to join the team, swimmers must be able to swim 2 laps of freestyle and 2 laps of backstroke unassisted and must maintain passing grades to compete in meets. In the swim team, we will compete against many other middle school teams and finish with a championship in December.
