Each spring, rising 7th-grade students are eligible to complete an interest application to be considered for participation in the year-long high school level Spanish connections class. This class is designed for students to complete half of Level I Spanish in the seventh grade and the second half in eighth grade. Students who successfully complete Level I Spanish in eighth grade will be eligible to earn a Carnegie Unit (high school credit). Students will need to pass the course as well as take the Level 1 Spanish exam which includes a speaking and a writing performance assessment.
Be on the lookout in the spring for Spanish interest letters. The selection for the course will be based on the highest GPA and highest teacher recommendation scores.
