  • Board Game Club

    Meeting Information: Once a month before school at 8:00am in the lower Media Center

    Purpose: To play board games and have fun.

    Dues/Membership: No

  • Boys Basketball

    Faculty Sponsor(s):  Head coach - Mr. Costantino     Assistant coaches - Mr. Stanley and Mr. Burton

    Meeting Information: Upper/Lower after school Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:00-6:30 PM

    Purpose: To develop basketball skills and improve as a player. To learn "life lessons" that have value beyond the basketball court.

    Dues/Membership: Yes; 7th and 8th graders with a current physical; pass 5 out of 6 classes and in good disciplinary status; must pay fees and dues by the given deadline

  • Breakout Club

    Meeting Information: Once a month before school at 8:00am in the lower Media Center

    Purpose: To creatively solve puzzles and break into mystery boxes.

  • Cheerleading

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. Thompson and Emily Reiss

    Meeting Information: Practice is held in the lower gym on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 PM.

    Purpose: Creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere for the CMS Boys and Girls athletic programs.

    Dues/Membership: Yes; follow the general guidelines from the GCPS athletic handbook

  • Chess Club

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. Nocera

    Meeting Information: Thursday mornings at 8:15 AM in room 1.279 C wing (next to the computer lab)

    Purpose: Chess club is a place to meet new friends who also enjoy chess! Basic instruction will be given for students new to the game.

  • Creative Souls

    Meeting Information: Thursdays 8:00-8:45 AM in room 1.396 Fine Arts wing

    Purpose: To provide a peaceful space for artists and creators to create and mentally prepare for their school day.

  • Creekland "Talk to the HAND" Sign Language Club

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. McBryde

    Meeting Information: 4:30-5:40 pm in the Lower Media Center (enter from upstairs) Meeting dates: 11/15, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13, 1/10, 1/24, 2/7, 2/14, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2 and 5/9

    Purpose: The Creekland Middle School Sign Language Club (T3H) works to increase awareness of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf Culture in our school and community.  We offer a welcoming environment to all those who desire to learn or improve their signing skills through practice, lessons, activities, interaction, and performances, while developing relationships in the community.

    Dues/Membership: No; must attend meetings regularly

  • Dance Team

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. Ware & Ms. Lovett

    Meeting Information: Practices Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30 AM in the lower gym.

    Purpose: Our goal is to grow as dancers, performers, and people and bring spirit to CMS Basketball games and other events.

    Dues/Membership: Yes, students must be passing 5 out of 6 classes to participate; sports physicals; dancers may be restricted from performing due to poor attendance or bad behavior. See audition packet for additional information.

  • Eagles Action News Broadcast Club

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. Carrie Card and Mr. Dakota Stockton

    Meeting Information: Daily @ 8:50 am in the lower media center (broadcast room)

    Purpose: Students will produce and report announcements at the beginning of each school day; this includes not only the regular morning announcements but also producing short videos about happenings in the school

    Dues/Membership: No; dedicated and dependable students who can and will report to the TV studio promptly each day and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to a representative of the Creekland school family

  • Girl Talk (6th graders)

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms . Hamilton

    Meeting Information: Starting November 15, 2022 meetings will be held every Tuesday 4:45-5:45 PM in the collabatory- E-wing (6th grade hallway)

    Purpose: A girls' group designed to create a safe environment to help young ladies grow in confidence and self-esteem through laughter, fun, and sisterhood.

    Dues/Membership: Yes; To cultivate a safe and welcoming environment the following rules must be followed:  

    • Be respectful to yourself and others. 
    • Come prepared to every club meeting. 
    • Bring a smile, and positivity. 
    • Be willing to learn and try new things. 
    • Be welcoming and inclusive with your club sisters. 
    • Show gratitude and thankfulness. 
    • Be trustworthy by maintaining private conversations had within the group.

  • Girls Basketball

    Meeting Information: Practices are held in the upper gym from 7:15-8:40 AM.

    Purpose: To develop student athletes into positive leaders in the school community and while teaching them sportsmanship and teamwork.

    Dues/Membership: Yes; there will be tryouts; you must make the team to play

  • Intramurals Fall & Spring

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Coach Holloway & Coach Rickett

    Meeting Information: Fall (8/16/22-10/11/22) and Spring (3/7/23-5/16/23) for 9 weeks, Tuesdays 6th grade, Wednesdays 7th grade and Thursdays 8th grade. Students need to enter the building in the lower gym lobby at 8:00.  ALL students need to be in the upper gym by 8:10.  

    Purpose: To allow students the opportunity to develop physical skills while learning to work collaboratively; the program offers students a variety of activities that can be played before the school day begins

    Dues/Membership: No; participants must wear appropriate shoes for play on the gym floor as well as school-approved clothing. Students are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and conduct at all times. Students who create problems due to conduct, bad sportsmanship, etc. will be banned from participation in this program.

  • Makerspace Club

    Meeting Information: Once a month before school at 8:00am in the lower Media Center

    Purpose: To foster a collaborative environment wherein students can explore and create intersections between technology, science, art, and culture.

If there is an activity in which you do not wish for your child to participate, please go to your Gwinnett County Public Schools, Student/Parent Handbook, Grades 4-12, 2022-2023, and return the completed form to your child’s homeroom teacher.

    It is our pleasure to offer the activities listed. Please encourage your child to review the activities with you to see if there are opportunities they would enjoy.
