    Purpose: Provide community service to both Creekland and the community

    Dues/Membership: Yes; students must maintain a minimum of 4 As and 2 Bs as well as positive conduct

  • Book Club

    Meeting Information: One Wednesday morning a month in the Media Center

    Purpose: Promoting the love of reading

  • Boys Basketball

    Faculty Sponsor(s):  Coach Jason Tillerson & Coach Brian Batterton

    Meeting Information: Meets daily @ 4:30 pm from November - February in the upper gym

    Purpose: Develop the student-athlete and prepare the student-athlete for high school; also to have a team sport that can compete with other schools

    Dues/Membership: Yes; 7th and 8th graders with a current physical; pass 5 out of 6 classes and in good disciplinary status

    Purpose: Promoting the love of reading

  • Cheerleading

    Meeting Information: Practices held in the lower gym

    Purpose: To support CMS and the CMS basketball teams

  • Chess Club

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. Julie Taylor

    Meeting Information: Meets on Fridays at 8:00 am in the lower media center, except for the first Friday of the month

    Purpose: Provide students with the opportunity to improve their chess skills, have fun, and connect with friends

    Dues/Membership: Yes; work hard, have fun, and exhibit good behaviors; members must leave the chess room the way they found it; this means cleaning and straightening up after the meeting

  • Club Blaze (Building Leaders and AmaZing Eagles)

    Meeting Information: Monthly on Thursdays at 8:15 am in Ms. Littlejohn’s STEM lab; dates TBD

    Purpose:  Focuses on building leadership skills, promoting diversity and anti-bullying

    Dues/Membership: $20.00; 7th & 8th graders who maintain good academic standing and positive relations; invitation only based on teacher

  • Creekland "Talk to the HAND" Sign Language Club

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. McBryde, Ms. Loper, & Ms. Connell

    Meeting Information: Weekly on Tuesdays 4:30-5:45 pm beginning September 17th in the SOARbucks Cafe

    Purpose: The Creekland Middle School Sign Language Club (T3H) works to increase awareness of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf Culture in our school and community.  We offer a welcoming environment to all those who desire to learn or improve their signing skills through practice, lessons, activities, interaction, and performances, while developing relationships in the community.

    Dues/Membership: $10.00; must attend meetings regularly

  • Eagle Dance Team

    Meeting Information: Weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30

    Purpose: Our goal is to grow as dancers, performers, and people and bring spirit to CMS Basketball games and other events

    Dues/Membership: Yes, students must be passing 5 out of 6 classes to participate; sports physicals; dancers may be restricted from performing due to poor attendance or bad behavior

  • Eagles Action News

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. Carrie Card & Ms. Linda Littlejohn

    Meeting Information: Daily @ 8:50 am in the lower media center (broadcast room)

    Purpose: Students will produce and report announcements at the beginning of each school day; this includes not only the regular morning announcements but also producing short videos about happenings in the school

    Dues/Membership: No; dedicated and dependable students who can and will report to the TV studio promptly each day and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to a representative of the Creekland school family

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Coach Holloway

    Meeting Information: Meetings on Fridays - 9/20, 10/18, 3/13, & 5/15 @ 8:10 am in the upper gym

    Purpose: To present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church

  • Girls Basketball

    Meeting Information: Practices will start in October 2018 and end in February 2019; practices are held in the upper gym

    Purpose: To develop student athletes into positive leaders in the school community

    Dues/Membership: Yes; there will be tryouts; you must make the team to play

  • Honor Orchestra

    Meeting Information: Weekly on Wednesdays 7:45-8:55 am in the orchestra room (1.410); exact meeting dates will be announced

    Purpose: To provide an enrichment experience for advance orchestra students

  • Intramurals Fall & Spring

    Meeting Information: 8:00 - 8:50 am Monday-Thursday; Fall - 8/20-10/17; Spring - 3/10-5/4

    Purpose: To allow students the opportunity to develop physical skills while learning to work collaboratively; program offers students a variety of activities that can be played before the school day begins

  • Readers Rally

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Ms. Card, Ms. Demos, & Ms. Nocera

    Meeting Information: Every other Wednesday starting 9/4 in the Media Center. Meetings will increase to weekly closer to competition.

    Purpose: To promote a love of reading and provide an opportunity for students to share their enjoyment of literature; the club will culminate in a school competition which will determine the team of ten students who will go on to the county competition

    Dues/Membership: Yes; students are expected to read the15 books on the 2019-2020 GCPS Readers Rally book list and participate in practices

  • Robotics

    Meeting Information: Weekly on Wednesdays 4:30-5:30 pm in room 1.391.

    Purpose: To support students in the advancement of robotic design and programming and to prepare them for the future by opening their minds to the technology field of electronics

    Meeting Information: Weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-5:15 pm in room 1.075 (E wing)

    Purpose: To promote physical fitness and comradery among students and staff

  • Weight Training Club

    Faculty Sponsor(s): Coach Holloway & Mr. Shaver

    Meeting Information: 

    • 8th grade ONLY!
    • 8:20 - 8:50 am
    • Every Tuesday and Thursday; 11/5-2/27

    Purpose: To allow students the opportunity to develop proper lifting, and safety techniques in regards to weight training methods, along with learning to work collaboratively and have fun while exercising

    Dues/Membership: No; attend practice, have a physical, parent permission form and acquire a USA Wrestling Card
